The deadliest was in sight! Developed vaccine for breast cancer

The trials of the vaccine developed for the treatment of the most risky type of breast cancer started in the USA.

According to the statements of the American academic medical center Cleveland Clinic, human trials of a vaccine, which is the first of its kind, will begin for triple negative breast cancer. Triple negative breast cancer, only surgical removal of the breast can be cured.

Trials will initially only include survivors of early-stage triple-negative breast cancer with a high risk of disease recurrence. The people who conducted the study are considering testing the vaccine in healthy people who are at high risk of disease in the next stage.

G. Thomas Budd of the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute said in a press release:

“In the long term, we hope this could be a preventative vaccine to be administered in healthy women to prevent triple-negative breast cancer, the type of breast cancer least responsive to treatments.”
